Honda Dominates KBB Consumer Choice Awards

Kelly Blue Book recently released the results for their 2024 Consumer Choice Awards, which “recognize automakers whose model lines of cars, trucks, and SUVs create enthusiasm among shoppers,” according to KBB. Honda won more awards than any other automotive brand.

The Consumer Choice Awards, formerly known as the Brand Image Awards, have 15 categories for mainstream and luxury brands. KBB says the categories are based on “attributes such as value, trust, and the in-vehicle experience.” Honda was nominated in eight of the categories and ended up winning six awards. Let’s take a look at the Consumer Choice Awards won by Honda.

Best Overall Brand

Honda won the Best Overall Brand award due to quality, innovation, and a focus on helpful features.

Most Trusted Brand

Consumer confidence in the Honda brand has remained high for many years. “Honda is considered the most trusted brand because its vehicles are known to be practical, fuel-efficient, and reliable,” KBB said.

Best Value Brand

Another year, another Best Value Brand award for Honda, who has won this category for the 10th consecutive year.

Best In-Vehicle Experience Brand

This is the first year for the Best In-Vehicle Experience award and Honda is the inaugural winner. KBB stated that Honda won because “shoppers praised ride comfort, advanced tech, and interior quality and amenities.”

Best Performance Brand

KBB mentioned the track-ready, 315-horsepower Civic Type-R as one reason Honda took home this award. KBB also said Honda is “known for their excellent steering and handling.”

Best Overall EV/Hybrid Brand

If you didn’t think of Honda as a competitive EV brand, you should now as consumers named Honda the Best Overall EV/Hybrid brand. There are plenty of reason Honda won the award. The all-new 2024 Honda Prologue is the first all-electric Honda SUV. The CR-V Hybrid is the country’s best-selling hybrid and Car and Driver named it the the Best Compact SUV. The Accord Hybrid was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ recipient.
