2024 Honda CR-V: Award-Winning Safety
The 2024 Honda CR-V was named the Best Compact SUV by Car and Driver, solidifying its position as the leader among compact SUVs. Honda’s commitment to safety is one of the main reasons for the honor.
The CR-V was awarded the coveted Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS in 2022 and 2023. We expect the 2024 CR-V, with more safety features than before, to receive those honors again in 2024. Winning a Top Safety Pick+ award is more difficult than in previous years, as only 48 models qualified last year after the IIHS boosted the eligibility requirements.
“The number of winners is smaller this year because we’re challenging automakers to build on the safety gains they’ve already achieved,” said IIHS President David Harkey. “These models are true standouts in both crashworthiness and crash prevention.”
